The standard in real-time low-voltage analytics.

Future Grid has led the way in low-voltage AMI analytics since it was founded in 2013.

Compass™, our signature software, was built for Australia and New Zealand, the world's most advanced, data-rich energy grids. Our platform now services 90% of Australia's network and is the gold standard in grid management software.

Our solutions are now adopted in the USA and Asia, helping utilities prepare their networks for the future of energy abroad.

With the evolution of AI, we have integrated game-changing AI capabilities into the platform that enhance its power and ensure it continues to be the trusted choice for energy utilities.

Our story.

2010s

In the early 2010s, Australia’s energy networks installed millions of smart meters, creating an unprecedented surge of grid data. Critical issues began to hide within the noise.

2013

By 2013, Future Grid was founded to meet this challenge head-on by building technology that could process this data quickly and accurately.

2020s

As the energy landscape continued to evolve through the 2020s, energy challenges continued to intensify. Australasia transitioned to new distributed energy resources (DER), intermittent renewables, and consumer-driven energy services, adding even more complexity to already data-heavy networks.

2021

In response, Future Grid launched Compass™, the first universal low-voltage analytics platform built for real-time clarity across any utility network.

2025

Today, Future Grid and Compass™ help utilities detect, prioritise, and resolve faults  with precision, safety, and efficiency.
